After a long, hot summer, there’s only one topic on every parent’s or grandparent’s lips. “Are you ready for the kids to go back to school?”
Whenever we ask this question, there’s a pattern to what happens next: Nervous laughter, furtive lip licking, eyes glazed over, some staring wistfully into the distance. The sort of pain that stays with you for years. And then the inevitable snap back to reality. The eyes regain focus; more nervous laughter.
We can’t do anything about shortening school holidays, but we can help you process the devastation at Harvest Day.
