Once a month, on a Thursday afternoon, we hold a Sponsored and Fostered Horse debrief. Debriefs are a conversation between horse sponsors, Sanctuary staff and medical experts to discuss individual horse progress and are an excellent way for horse sponsors to share advice, ideas and inspiration; receive expert advice from qualified vet staff; determine the next round of horse treatment plans and solve the many treatment problems we encounter while nursing rescued horses back to health.
We also celebrate the successes we’ve had in improving our rescue, recovery and release protocols.
All horse sponsors are welcome, from the most experienced to the absolute beginner. We come together with one goal: To advance horse rescue practice and understanding around the world through communication and the sharing of knowledge.
Served in the Naturaliste Estate’s conservatory, our scrumptious (and calorie-free because, you know, jodhpurs) afternoon tea menu faithfully follows the traditional combination of sweet and savoury with a selection of delicious sandwiches, Devonshire teas, hand-made pastries made with fruits from our orchards and washed down with lashings of rich Oolong and refreshingly complex Assam teas. Brewed coffee is also available for those us who were cleaning out stalls at 6 in the morning.
Tickets:
Afternoon Tea Attendance – free – horse sponsors and fosterers
Afternoon Tea Attendance – $15 – non-sponsors

All proceeds from the Ethology Afternoon Teas go to rescuing at-risk horses and supporting our work in horse welfare.
