Harvest Day Gourmet Precinct
The Naturaliste Sanctuary rescues at-risk horses and conducts horse welfare advocacy. Harvest Days are our major fundraising event and raise money for rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing horses into natural herds to be used for ethological (behavioural) research.
Harvest Days are value-priced, family fun and offer a wide range of food and entertainment. From dancing stallions to milking demonstrations, pony rides, baby goat and lamb feeding, balloons and face painting, visitors are invited to buy a harvest basket and fill it to the brim from the fresh fruit, vegetables & nuts in the Harvest Garden.
Harvest Days are perfectly situated to display and promote the fantastic local food and entertainment vendors available in the area so, to that end, we have created a dedicated Gourmet Precinct to provide a showcase for the best producers in the area.
Preference is given to stall holders who reside within the Southwest region and, in the case of food producers, source their produce from within the Cape Naturaliste area.
If you’re an experienced local food or entertainment vendor and are interested in bringing your operation to our monthly fundraising event, we’d love to hear from you.
Location and cost
- Location: Naturaliste Estate, Gate 3 Chain Avenue, ANNIEBROOK, WA
- When: First Sunday of every month from October to June. April’s Harvest Day is held on Easter Sunday. Harvest Days operate from 10 am to 2 pm.
- Vendor tents: Three-sided, Harvest Day-branded and supplied exhibition tents must be used by vendors on Harvest Days at a cost of:
$150 per day – 2500 x 2500 mm
Power (if required) $15 per day - Set-Up: We set up the tent on the morning of the Harvest Day ready for you to inhabit!
- Apply: Vendor applications can be lodged online. As soon as we receive it, we’ll get back to you immediately.
- Stallholder applications and fees must be received by 5pm on the 15th of the month prior to the Harvest Day you’d like to attend.
- Stall numbers and a map of stallholder placement are advised 10 days prior to the next Harvest Day. We also include set-up tips, parking information and other directions
- Stall set-up is available from 8 am on Harvest Days. Stall spaces will be marked out on the ground before the event and a Harvest Day volunteer will be on-hand to answer questions.
- Three-sided, Harvest Day-branded and supplied exhibition tents must be used by vendors on Harvest Days. No vendor-owned exhibition tents can be used.
- No trestle tables or equipment is supplied.
- Stallholders can access power at an extra cost however stallholders must provide their own power cords and adapters.
- Vehicles are allowed to drop off and unload at the stalls on the Estate, but must exit the Gourmet Precinct as quickly as possible.
- A vendor carpark is available to stallholders on the Estate at no extra cost. After set-up, vehicles must not be left anywhere on the Estate, but only in the designated carpark.
- Stalls must be kept tidy and free of rubbish. Bins are placed near the vendor area for easy access. We have limited rubbish removal services so please take as much rubbish with you at the end of the day as possible.
- All stallholders must have their own public liability insurance. A copy must be sent with your application.
- Exhibitors selling food must have a Food Permit from the City of Busselton or other city or shire. A copy must be sent with the application.
- Exhibitor passes cover three vendor staff members. Additional passes are available at $15 per person.
- No restrictions apply where vendor goods compete with local businesses, including coffee vans. Resellers are not permitted at Harvest Days and the reselling of produce is not permitted at Harvest Days.
- Naturaliste Harvest Days retain the right to modify terms and conditions, as necessary.

The Gourmet Precinct is a predominantly fresh food market which operates regularly within the Capes region and provides a unique environment for farmers and specialty food producers to sell farm-origin and associated value-added specialty foods for human consumption directly to the local community.
To qualify to sell in the Gourmet Precinct, please be aware of the following eligibility requirements:
Catchment area
- Cape Naturaliste region is comprised of all towns within the following postcodes – 6280, 6281, 6282, 6284, 6285, 6286, 6288, 6290.
Origin of produce and products
- Grown by vendor or manufactured primarily from ingredients which are grown/produced by vendor within the Cape Naturaliste catchment.
- Manufactured primarily from ingredients sourced from within the South West region or the Cape Naturaliste catchment.
Processing
- Selling raw produce from the Cape Naturaliste catchment directly, or high and/or complex level of
processing of raw ingredients into a speciality product. - Medium level of processing of raw or processed ingredients.
- Blending of raw or processed ingredients to a unique speciality product.
- Ingredients produced by vendor but processing outsourced, within the Cape Naturaliste catchment
- Ingredients produced by vendor but processing. outsourced, outside the Cape Naturaliste catchment
- Simple combination of ingredients without processing.
Location of food business
- Within the Cape Naturaliste catchment area.
Primary food products
A primary food product sold in its raw form that has not been processed or manufactured in any way, other than packaged.
Seafood, game and foraged foods
Seafood (salt, freshwater, wild or farmed), game or foraged food that has been caught, hunted or gathered.
Value-Added foods
Whereby the raw or fresh food ingredient is modified by means of a cooking or related process i.e. brining, fermenting, marinating, smoking, drying, that process undertaken wholly by the specialty producer.
Specialty food products
Made from primary farm origin produce, which has been cooked, processed, combined or substantially altered from the raw ingredient, to which additional food ingredients may have been added to create a new value-added specialty food. This category excludes re-packaging and low level processing or re-processing of produce.
Some farmed products – floriculture and horticulture
Products for human consumption, but grown and produced by farmers, that are generally acceptable for sale at a community Farmers’ Market are potted vegetables, fruits and herbs.
