Harvest Day Gourmet Precinct
The Naturaliste Sanctuary rescues at-risk horses and conducts horse welfare advocacy. Harvest Days are our major fund-raising event and raise money for rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing horses into natural herds to be used for ethological (behavioural) research.
Harvest Days are value-priced, family fun and offer a wide range of food and entertainment. From dancing stallions to milking demonstrations, pony rides, baby goat and lamb feeding, balloons and face painting, visitors are invited to buy a harvest basket and fill it to the brim from the fresh fruit, vegetables & nuts in the Harvest Garden.
Harvest Days are perfectly situated to display and promote the fantastic local food and entertainment vendors available in the area so, to that end, we have created a dedicated Gourmet Precinct to provide a showcase for the best producers in the area.
Preference is given to stall holders who reside within the Southwest region and, in the case of food producers, source their produce from within the Cape Naturaliste area.
If you’re an experienced local food or entertainment vendor and are interested in bringing your operation to our fundraising event, we’d love to hear from you.
Location and cost
- Location: Naturaliste Estate, Gate 3 Chain Avenue, ANNIEBROOK, WA
- When: First Sunday of every month from October to June. April’s Harvest Day is held on Easter Sunday. Harvest Days operate from 11 am to 2 pm.
- Three-sided, Harvest Day-branded and supplied exhibition tents must be used by vendors on Harvest Days at a cost of:
$150 per day – 3000 x 2500 mm
Power $15 per day - We set up the tent on the morning of the Harvest Day ready for you to inhabit!
- Vendor applications can be lodged online. As soon as we receive it, we’ll get back to you immediately.
- Stallholder applications and fees must be received by 5pm on the 15th of the month prior to the Harvest Day you’d like to attend.
- Stall numbers and a map of stallholder placement are advised 10 days prior to the next Harvest Day. We also include set-up tips, parking information and other directions
- Stall set-up is available from 9 am on Harvest Days. Stall spaces will be marked out on the ground before the event and a Harvest Day volunteer will be on-hand to answer questions.
- Three-sided, Harvest Day-branded and supplied exhibition tents must be used by vendors on Harvest Days. No vendor-owned exhibition tents can be used.
- No trestle tables or equipment is supplied.
- Stallholders can access power at an extra cost however stallholders must provide their own power cords and adapters.
- Vehicles are allowed to drop off and unload at the stalls on the Estate, but must exit the Gourmet Precinct as quickly as possible.
- A vendor carpark is available to stallholders on the Estate at no extra cost. Vehicles must not be left anywhere on the Estate, but only in the designated carpark.
- Stalls must be kept tidy and free of rubbish. Bins are placed near the vendor area for easy access. We have limited rubbish removal services so please take as much rubbish with you as possible.
- All stallholders must have their own public liability insurance. A copy must be sent with your application.
- Exhibitors selling food must have a Food Permit from the City of Busselton or other city or shire. A copy must be sent with the application.
- Exhibitor p0asses cover two vendor staff memebers. Additional passes are available at $15 per person.
- No restrictions apply where vendor goods compete with local businesses, including coffee vans.
- Naturaliste Harvest Days retain the right to modify terms and conditions, as necessary.

About Visitors
- Our research shows that people who attend Harvest Days are married females at higher income levels, young families, individuals with strong diet or health concerns, individuals interested in gourmet products and cooking and individuals who are supportive of local farming and locally-sourced ingredients.
- They are interested in artisanal food, how local producers create their brands and produce their foods. They tend to be more than usually brand loyal.
- Results indicate that consumers attend primarily to purchase fresh produce, followed by social interaction and then to support animal welfare causes such as horse rescue.
- Purchasing non-locally produced foods and arts and crafts are not strong motivators.
- Events with a range of family-friendly activities which are included in the entrance fee enjoy both higher attendance rates and attendance loyalty.
