Friesian School Art Award

School art prize with $1,250 first prize for the best Friesian painting, sketch or drawing.

Habitat Corridor Art Award

The Habitat Corridor Art & Design Prize is open to painters with a prize pool of $5,000.

Naturaliste Shed Program

The Naturaliste Men’s Shed Program runs an interesting and diverse range of projects and is open to all men over 18.

LOADS OF FUN FUNDRAISING EVENTS

You can join one of our annual or monthly fundraising events, all of which fund horse rescue and help advance a horse fair world.

Harvest Days

Held monthly, buy a Harvest Basket and fill it to the brim while you graze the luscious vegetable beds, fruit tree orchards and herb gardens. Meet all the DunsBros friends. Snack while you’re at it.

Tree Planting BBQ

Grab a shovel and build a habitat for our endangered species. Every quarter, volunteers come together to plant sponsored and donated trees in the Habitat Corridor. There’s a BBQ and the DunsBros friends after all the hard work.

Cinema at the Sanctuary

One of the most magical events down south has to offer. There’s a pop-up bar, local eating options, including picnic hampers, or bring your own, cozy bean-bags in the priority seating area and loads of soft, sweet smelling grass for picnic rugs.

Christmas in July

We celebrate the festive season in the cool of winter. A time for Margaret River mulled wine and Naturaliste eggnogs, Christmas pudding from our plum trees, Naturaliste turkeys and pork and winter vegetables from the Harvest Garden.

MORE WAYS TO SUPPORT HORSE RESCUE

If you feel you can make a donation, we have many ways to donate to horse rescue and recovery.

Individual Donation

Choose between monthly giving, a fixed term monthly giving or a one-off donation. All funds go directly to horse care and recovery.

Workplace Giving

Allows you to make regular donations from your pay to through payroll donations and, because we hold Deductible Gift Recipient status, claim an immediate tax deduction.

Leave a Legacy

Gifts in wills have a significant and long-lasting effect on rescuing and rehabilitating horses. These generous gifts allow us to future plan our activities, creating contingency funds for extended horse rescues.

Tack Giving

We’re always in need of good quality rugs, halters, leads, travel boots, curry combs and brushes (oh and hoof picks. Ours seem to disappear like teaspoons in a dishwasher).

Our sponsorship programs are fixed cost and all proceeds go directly to the intended cause. We do not subtract any administration overheads or operational cost from sponsorship funds.

Sponsor a Horse

Sponsoring a horse is an incredible way to have a real impact on the life of horses who have faced neglect, abuse and exploitation. Your sponsorship allows us to rescue, recover and rehabilitate at-risk horses and make them safe forever.

Sponsor a Habitat Tree

We’re on a mission to plant 8,000 trees across the culturally and ecologically important Naturaliste Habitat Corridor which provides habitat for endangered species and cleans the water running into ecologically important waterways.

Sponsor a Fence

..or at least a section of fence. Our wonderful volunteers install fence sections at both the Habitat Corridor and the Ethology program funded and built by your donations.
